The historic ferry building has undergone a renovation. This landmark is now a market filled with specialty stores and on the weekend it becomes a full blown farmer's market. The sites, sounds and smells make this a fun place to hang out on Saturday mornings. I wandered around snapping pictures and people watching. Plenty to munch on too.
It's been over 25 years since Bruce played live in San Francisco. Bruce and the rest of the E-Streeter's played to a sold out crowd at PacBell Park Saturday night. I stepped up to usher and enjoy the music of my youth. I also had the opportunity to meet and seat actor Peter Coyote. The band played for 3 hours and it seemed like each patron had their own personal "Bruce moment" during the show.
This continued until 35,000 fans were all singing "Born to Run" in unison under the stars. This is one band who hasn't let the years diminish their energy in front of a crowd.
My coffee maker finally died. A small service was held and then down the trash chute. I went to Macy's and look what I found! I now have coffee on tap and I never have to worry about a broken pot again. This machine brews then holds the coffee nice and fresh until you want a cup. Just press the cup to the bar and out pours the love. I think of all the years and coffee I've wasted on lesser machines. This Hamilton-Beach Coffee Station is my new best friend. It even has a timer so it's ready to pour when I get up.
Finally it wouldn't be the end of the summer without me looking for work again. This trend started last year around the same time so get ready for lots of new essays and pictures as I look to fill the empty hours until I find a new gig. Maybe I should just plan on taking the fall off each year. Anywho that's the skinny out here in Leftcoastloveland.
