Click to Play: Take Your Mama

It started with a great pop song reminiscent of early Elton John and it ended with a rowdy party at the historic Fillmore. The entire Leftcoastlove SF office was there and we learned that there was a lot more to this band than clever pop. Andy knew one of the band members, BabyDaddy, and he made sure we had a great spot to watch. The band opened the show with their current hit "Take Your Mamma" which got the people unfamiliar with their catalog right into the mix from the jump. The show was big, loud, brash and at times even tender. They reminded me of an updated Frankie Goes to Hollywood. They probably won't make it big in the red states but some of us can still keep an open mind and tolerate what is different.
