Next Jim and I spent some fun filled minutes at the local Trader Joe's. Jim has eating issues and requirements so this trip was necessary if he was to be comfortable at my place for more than a few hours. Apparently he can't survive on Gorilla Munch and coffee like me. More on the Gorilla Munch later. So after watching some guy try to pay for his groceries... with a frequent flyer membership card thus totally jacking up the line and making us wait for forever while he fumbled and fumbled presenting a series of cards that didn't apply I could have reached over and ......uhm anger issue here, sorry.....we headed back to the penthouse for some dinner and a movie.
After a fine dinner of Hawaiian teriyaki jerked pork chops and baby corn we settled into the movie. Indi-art film indeed. This film explored the relationship between a secretary and her boss. It involved control that manifested itself in ritualistic episodes of spanking, among other things. Now this wasn't a porno and while on the surface the subject matter seems bizarre the film was actually very good.
Lexi showed up for the dinner and she even brought the movie. "Secretary". Hmmmm? Jim and I had never heard of it. Lexi said it was some indi-hard art house Sundance winner. Uhm..ok?
The
best part was the ending. We convened a round table to discuss the
film and our new mannequins proved very useful for practicing our new
skills.
Issue 2, J. Lo angst successfully dealt with.

Report: Ruby has resurfaced! Friday
the 4th saw the return of Ruby a.k.a Nikki. She and her friend
Michelle drove into the city to join Jimmy and Lexi for some fun. We
tried to get out for the fireworks but we ended up stuck in my car as
traffic snarled to a stop once the show started. It didn't matter
since we were all
laughing hard in the car as my new reggae
cd filled the car and the girls tried to sing along with Jim.
It wasn't pretty but it was great comedy.
Nikki offered up her contribution to the topic
of spanking by presenting Jim with a photo op (see left). Nice :)
Friends just sharing. Group hug.
The
music and laughter continued for hours back at headquarters as we celebrated
the company of friends. I was sad when Nikki and Michelle had to leave
but it was great to see her happy healthy and back in the area.
Hopefully I will see more of her as the summer rolls on.
The AMC television network ran a "Planet of the Apes"
marathon Saturday. I started early with part 1 and Jim joined in for
part 3 when he finally got up. The ape films work perfectly into a
recurring monkey theme.
My all natural gluten free sugar free organic non-animal tested fragrance
free breakfast fiber product is called Gorilla Munch. The picture on
the box is actually the face you make the next day. I thought it was a
kid's cereal, hmm perhaps it's actually meant for gorilla pets. Like
Puppy Chow. Am I eating monkey food? It has to be because this
stuff cannot be digested by anything truly human.
All this ape talk gave us the idea to visit
the
San Francisco zoo. They have real gorillas so to complete the mystic
monkey circle we headed out.
The San Francisco zoo gave us lot's to look at and talk about. Believe
it or not I had never been to real zoo. Sure the animal farms and
traveling petting zoo varieties but never a large metropolitan zoo.
Lions and tigers and bears oh my! The place is very large and after I was dragged through the "Farm" exhibit I finally was able to see the big animals. The zoo reminded me of an old movie set or a place that was once bright and new. The big pits and animal living areas didn't seem bad but they weren't very "natural" either. Most of the animals were just there, hanging out. The lion gave a few roars then fell asleep with his ass pointed to the crowd.
The difference is I choose to expose myself by writing and posting my pictures. Letting people look into my world. These guys didn't have much of a choice.
Welcome to the monkey house. The gorillas live in an area away form the rest of the zoo. Sort of a gorilla island. You can just go in and watch this family for hours. Now this is reality TV. The silverback gorilla is actually easier to understand than Ozzy. It was both fun and wrong. I wondered how I would feel living in the open with everyone able to look into my world. Wait I think I do.
Issues dealt with, new skills learned, old friends, new friends, music, food, and even animals; this is the stuff of life and the real reason we need long weekends. Thanks for checking in and thanks for all email. It has been pouring in lately, me thinks my upcoming high school reunion has brought in some new visitors. Until next time...
Peace and Always
Leftcoastlove,
Sean
