Parker Jane is on the way...Week 26-27!
Ok Ok here are the latest pictures of Stacey. We
are moving this week and then we are off to NY so our updates may be
sparse over the next few weeks as we gear up for the final "push" to
parenthood.

Bumps are beautiful!

Parker's First Cookbook and Bike.

Random road race in San Fran. We stumbled upon
it as we were walking in the sun.

Sean and Stacey prepare for parenthood by becoming

Week 25
We got it -
parkerjane.com is
locked up. Sorry but we got there first. Not much there yet
but stay tuned
Simple Family - At first glance I thought
this magazine was for families with low IQ's but after closer
examination I learned that it is all about getting back to basics.
Simple solutions are just what our family needs here in SF where space
is at a premium. More on getting more space below...

Rockabye Baby - OK is this a shameless ploy
to get me to buy more useless crap for the baby or is it a great way to
introduce Parker to the melodies and songs I love? Amazing or
annoying? I can't decide yet but here are a few nuggets for you to
try out yourself.

Wish You Were Here
Going to California
Brown Sugar
New Apartment...sort of
Below are pictures of a unit similar to the new
one we are moving into next month. We are up the 12th floor with
killer views and a fireplace. We also gain another bathroom and
much needed closet space. All this and we only have to move across
the courtyard to the other tower. It will be all ready when Parker
arrives in December.

This week in the BGI (Baby Growth Index) -
"Head to heels, your baby now measures about 13 1/2 inches. Her weight —
a pound and a half — isn't much more than an average rutabaga."
When does my daughter go from vegetable to animal?

Week 24
I'll try again today to get the timeline updated
but Stacey is hiding from the camera. She can only see the tips of
toes now so she doesn't think the camera is her friend anymore. In
the meantime check this out....

Each week I receive an email update
from BabyCenter.com with all kinds of great info about Parker. The
only complaint I have is the use of produce to relate the baby's size.
The first email I thought is was cute but now after this list: Ear of
Corn, Large Mango, Spaghetti Squash, Length of a Carrot, Length of a
Banana, etc. I am wondering if this is some official baby measure.
Is there a Baby Growth Index (or BGI) that relates fetal growth to these
items? Maybe this dates back to our agrarian past when the school
year was designed to allow for the kids to work the farm. Perhaps,
but I wonder how familiar New Hampshire farmers were with Large Mangos.
Just a theory.

New Stacey pics for week 24...

Parker continues to push her way to
the front, I can actually see her move at times, Parker that is.

New Baby Cam and Rico Suave Daddy

Ladies Who Lunch? or Too Much
Food Network? Stacey and her girlfriends turn a simple morning
into a must attend event complete with menu and place cards. They
say presentation counts..

We may have to try for a boy next
year just so we can build this room...uhm maybe not but Stacey said I
might get the sheets for my birthday and the lamp for my desk for
Christmas. If I'm good this year.

Monkey art from Pottery Barn Kids
Week 23
Stacey is looking real happy. I fear her
smile may grow so large she actually splits her head in two. So if
Stacey is happy then so is the house.
This week Parker can listen to music so there has
been lots of dancing in the house. It's very exciting picking out
music for my daughter and of course the extra exercise isn't hurting the
old man either.

Timeline update - August 8th 2008
While
I dance Stacey and Parker watch. Stacey has also found a new past
time...she dresses up a stuffed monkey to see what Parker's outfits will
look like. I haven't decided if this really cute or really
disturbing.
See you next week.........
Week 21

Now the stuff is rolling in. Plus we have
picked up a few items ourselves. For now here's a peek into the
wardrobe and toybox little Parker Jane will find waiting in December.

Monkeys and sweater vests and
overalls...oh my!

Music themed baby wear. I am
going to enjoy the short time I get to pick out clothes for her.

Ok, this is messed up. Here
are the two volumes available from Amazon.com, the Dad book is black and
white and really qualifies more as a pamphlet than a volume. Hmm.
My work seems fairly straight forward.

Books and rattles and of course a
monkey of her own.

We are all set for Daddy Daughter
Day in Reggaeville!
End for this week...
We've picked her name and started planning for the
big event. Stacey continues to shine as each week brings us closer
to meeting Parker.
This is my page for collecting
ideas, memories, and anything else that relates to our pregnancy. We
got the news and the early consensus is it's a girl! This is an exciting time for us and
hopefully the pictures and comments here will allow you to also share in
the fun we are having. It may take me a while to wrap my head
around raising a girl but Stacey and I are up for it. Stay tuned
for more information and fun as we get ready to welcome Leftcoast
royalty.
Update: Latest sonogram at 18
weeks and yes it's a girl.
