Well I've finished my first article and I want to share some of my current favorite tunes. Leftcoastlove isn't the only one with an ear for great music and a flair for the keyboard. Be sure to write me with your thoughts.

Love?

Love is everywhere, right, it’s on TV, every radio station plays songs about it, there’s zillions of books on it, but what does it take to get love when everyone wants some?

My buddy Leftcoast says, “Love should be all about being somebody’s first, the first choice to play with and hang out, the first person who’s smile you want to see in the morning, the first person you want to make laugh.” I think he’s on to something that must be why he’s Leftcoastlove.

For me -It starts with a cleansing, a new beginning and then a seed can be planted, a look in someone’s eyes, a smile extra long. In the beginning every thing is new, fresh and exciting. Once the seed is planted tending is required. Grandma used to say with a grin, “You gotta tend ta what ya planted….” Because the truth is, without proper attention your garden will produce weeds and without sun and water it all will whither and die. But why is it that some men think all they need to do is plant the seed and let nature take over. “Hey I did my part, I won her over didn’t I?” Just work the front end; only in the beginning did he feel the need to be romantic and passionate. Legwork, bait he put on this hook when he saw you in the water. Once I’m in the boat I guess it’s over, why not just club me over the head with the oar and be done with it. (He He) Women need affirmation, isn’t that why we spend billions of dollars every day on books and magazines, make up and clothes. We want men to notice us, we want attention, and we want romance. If given the proper attention a woman can blossom into a beautiful flower.

For me, love is a garden.

Acknowledgment, attention, compliments, appreciation, respect, affection, support, this is all fertilizer and nutrients for your little seed. I think this is what I dream about most, the big beautiful flower I will become someday, all I need to do is find the right gardner.

affection: 1. A tender feeling toward another; fondness. 2. Often affections. Feeling or emotion. 3. A disposition to feel, do, or say; a propensity.

compliment: 1. An expression of praise, admiration, or congratulation. 2. A formal act of civility, courtesy, or respect. 3. compliments. Good wishes; regards. --Compliment, complimented, complimenting, compliments. 1. To pay a compliment to. 2. To show fondness, regard, or respect for by giving a gift or performing a favor.

If love is all about commitment, why is there a 60% divorce rate? Love just doesn’t happen.

Love is an action VERB. Key word, action! You gotta put effort into it, it’s not some stone you push off a hill so it just keeps rolling, it takes energy.

Do something unexpected!

Be spontaneous!

The way to get love is to give love. Get out there and start giving.
